Started documenting my projects on YouTube

This one's been a long time coming. I know I'm starting a lot of new projects all at once, but life has finally let up enough for my YouTube channel to come to fruition!

Right now I'm recording vlogs of the novel-writing process, research on neurodivergence and creativity, updates and trends about creative projects — and of course video versions of existing blogs, in case you don't feel like reading.

I left a few notes about it here.

Launched the "Art as Shadow Work" newsletter

Aside from being A Writer™️, for the last five years I've been collecting resources and research on creativity, trauma, neurodivergence, meditation, and shadow work. Maybe you're like me and see connections between struggle and creation.

If so, consider getting the Art as Shadow Work newsletter! I'm sharing my resources, plus tips and interviews with neurodivergent creatives from many skill levels and industries. Would love to hear back from you, too.

Had my first "real" exhibition fight...at 35.

I've only been doing Muay Thai for two years; fighting in a smoker was not on my 2025 bingo card.

I was the oldest (and smallest) fighter on the docket, but pushing my limits in a martial art always teaches me something new about discipline that I can apply to basically everything else I do in life. At first I "didn't have time" to commit to the entire 3-month training regimen. By the week of the fight, I was consistently training five days a week, for up to 3 hours a day. So what did I learn?

I regret to inform you that if you wanted to, you would. Now that I've got my free time back, I'm committing to writing for 60-90 minutes a day, every day. (And it doesn't even give me bruises!)
