I need to yell about autistic representation
Please, let's evolve our ideas around good characterization.

Going to be honest here; this is a completely out-of-left-field take. I have not seen The Good Doctor, nor do I plan to. I also haven't finished watching Love on the Spectrum, Music, or Sheldon. I won't be watching Rain Man again. I don't even remember the name of the recent show about some dad's feelings about his autistic son. Maybe Extraordinary Attorney Woo gets a pass, but I'm on the fence.
I'm perfectly happy to never watch any of these shows, because I know the representation is mostly abysmal.
It's really not hard to write neurodivergent characters without reducing them to snowflakes who can't handle criticism, or sex addicts, or losers obsessed with trains or particular noises.
Let's talk about Zoey.
